The Cardi B Concert Experience

Cardi B performed in Columbia, SC on May 12, 2019 to a nearly sold out arena and we were there front and center to take in all of the Cardi B and Friends experience!

Taking the stage ahead of Cardi B were the DJ’s and cast from the local hip-hop radio station, as well as up and coming artists LightskinKeisha, Dreezy and a local talent Renni Rucci. They all gave rather twerk-full, provocative performances elevating the crowd’s energy for the main attraction. After about 3 hours of performances and DJ played tracks however, the crowd became anxious, even at times chanting Cardi’s name hoping to propel her to the stage.

It was well after 10:00 PM when Cardi B finally hit the stage, but when she came out, there was a huge outburst of enthusiasm and excitement! Everyone was on their feet throughout the entire set as Cardi paraded the stage rapping, humoring the audience, and of course showing off those seductive dance moves as only Cardi B can!

Her performance included short versions of most of the songs from her Invasion of Privacy album, bars from other tracks she has been featured on, and most surprisingly, an appearance from her husband Offset as they performed their song Clout which is included on his solo album.

Cardi B’s performance time was just shy of 1 hour; we were expecting at least 1 1/2. She closed the show with her smash hit Bodak Yellow, then thanked us for coming and blew kisses as she exited. Before leaving she made sure to alert the audience that she was not attending any after parties as baby Kulture was waiting on her and hubby.

Despite the long wait for Cardi B to get on stage and the short time she graced the stage, we thought it was a great and energetic concert experience overall.

Below are some of the video clippings we were able to capture of Cardi B’s performance. Don’t forget to LIKE, COMMENT, & FOLLOW US- Enjoy!
