Tiffy: Now that we are three months into 2019, it is probably important to have a clear vision for what you would like to accomplish for the remainder of the year. Sometimes that is easier said than done, but if you write down your goals, say them out loud, or even take a card board, then paste words and pictures to it to display your vision, it may be more likely for you to maintain focus and obtain your vision. 

This is the exact method that was used at the Vision Party I attended over the weekend hosted by my friend Ansley. Ansley was able to bring a group of women together for the purpose of creating our vision for the year, or refocusing on our vision, then speaking those visions into the atmosphere among the group. She rightfully called it a “girls night of power moves!”

It was truly an inspiring event especially to see and hear others who share similar goals as yourself. Among some of the visions or goals that were shared included focusing more on self-love, health, faith and God. There were also the common themes of traveling more often, working on bettering relationships, increasing finances, and achieving home ownership among other things. 

As we were going through magazines searching for words, phrases and pictures that best represented our goals for our vision boards we shared laughs, discussed current events and debated on certain topics. It was a great fellowship of women – and to think,  some of us had never met each other before.

By the end of the evening we had all vowed to support each other in our dreams and endeavors, as well as come back together to host or attend other events aimed to inspire, learn or just have a fun time.

I thought it was important for me to share my experience attending the vision party because it was such a great idea to bring a group of great-minded women together to enjoy a positive and uplifting experience. More importantly however, it served as a vessel to allow me to really think about and prioritize all of the things that I envisioned achieving for the year. Of course one of my major goals is to discover more in beauty, travel, food, events and all things that my sister and I have an interest in, then to share those discoveries just as I am doing now. But then there are also personal goals that I would like to see become a reality this year. After attending the vision party, I feel more clear about all the things I need to focus on.
